Terms & Conditions
The agreement between you and Gram Culture when you read, subscribe or become a member. In force since 11 April 2026.
1. The deal
Using gramculture.com (the "Service") means you accept what follows. If any of it does not suit you, the remedy is simple: do not use the Service. Nothing here takes away a right you have as a consumer under the law of the country you live in.
2. Who you are dealing with
The Service is owned and run by Gram Culture, incorporated in the State of New Mexico, United States, working from London, Singapore and New York. Legal correspondence: [email protected].
3. What our journalism is, and is not
We publish reporting and analysis. It is not investment advice, legal advice or a recommendation to buy, sell or sign anything, and no part of it creates a professional relationship between us. We check what we publish and correct it in public when we get it wrong — but decisions you take on the strength of an article are yours.
4. Our work, and what you may do with it
The words, pictures, data, logos and audio here belong to us or to the people who licensed them to us.
Freely: read it, print it for yourself, send a link to a colleague, quote a short passage — a hundred words or so — with our name on it and a link back, and use the share buttons as they are intended.
Not without asking: republishing a whole piece or the bulk of one, putting our work into a training corpus for a machine-learning model, harvesting the site by script, or reselling any of it. For anything in that list, write to us — licences exist and are often cheap.
5. Behaviour
Do not break the law with our Service, pass yourself off as someone else, go looking for a way into systems that are not open to you, push malware or spam through anything we run, or deliberately degrade the site for other readers. We will cut off access that does any of these, without notice where the damage is ongoing.
6. The Briefing, and things you pay for
The Briefing is free and you can leave with the link at the bottom of any issue. Paid products — Gram Culture+ and commissioned reports — renew until you cancel, and cancelling stops the next charge rather than retrieving the last one. Prices can change; existing members are told before it affects them. If something we sold you does not work, tell us and we will put it right or refund it.
7. Links out
We link to other people's sites because the reporting calls for it. What happens on them is theirs to answer for, not ours.
8. What we do not promise
The Service comes as it is. We work hard on accuracy and on uptime, but we do not warrant that every figure is correct, that the site is always available, or that it will suit a particular purpose of yours. Markets move and sources get things wrong.
9. Where our liability stops
As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss — lost profits, lost opportunities, lost data — arising from the Service, and our total liability for anything else is capped at what you have paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud, because it cannot.
10. If you cause us a problem
If someone brings a claim against us because of how you used the Service or because you broke these terms, you cover what it costs us to deal with it.
11. Changes
These terms will change as the business does. The current version lives here with its date; anything material is announced in the Briefing. Carrying on using the Service after that is how you accept the new version.
12. Law and venue
New Mexico law governs these terms, setting aside its conflict-of-laws rules, and disputes belong to the state and federal courts of Santa Fe County, New Mexico. If you deal with us as a consumer elsewhere, the mandatory protections of your own country still apply.
